Open classes
Michael has over 15 years teaching experience in a range of dance styles with a specialisation in training upcoming professionals. Since 2011, he has taught a weekly Theatre Jazz class open to Advanced / Professional level dancers. This class consists of a short warm up and strengthen, before focusing on choreography for the remainder of the class. A new combination is taught every week with the aim being to challenge a dancers versatility and their ability to convey the intention / storytelling behind the steps. The choreography ranges in style from Classic Broadway/MGM jazz dance to anything from the ever evolving Contemporary Musical theatre world - a true reflection of the current industry requirements for working professional dancers / musical theatre performers.

Short courses & masterclasses
Occasionally Michael teaches 6 session short courses for Singer/Actor/Movers looking to improve their dance ability as part of their own professional development.
He also teaches Song and Dance masterclasses in partnership with voice coach Chris Nolan which breaks down the specific techniques and tools needed to combine the disciplines and successfully perform Song and Dance work.

Michael is a widely respected faculty member for many of Australia's top Performing Arts tertiary and university courses. He is currently associated with the following training institutions:
Victoria College of the Arts (VCA), Western Australian Academy for the Performing Arts (WAAPA), Patrick Studios Australia, Ministry of Dance, Spectrum Dance, Transit Dance, Showfit/Centrestage, National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Kelly Aykers Full-time, and The Space Dance and Arts Centre.
